Remote Buddy – Control Everything!

I freeeeeaking well love this application. My Friend Yusef showed me it today and it gives you so much control of your mac with your humble apple remote or now your iphone.
I have my 24″ iMac at the end of my bed and love to watch BBC iPlayer etc in bed. The annoying thing is just as i get nice and comfy the program will end and I need to get out of bed and use my keyboard and mouse to choose another. With remote buddy I can use my humble apple remote to control the cursor. bring up an onscreen keyboard or even link through my iphone and stay in the comfort of my duvet!
tiltshiftmaker.com – Create tiltshift images on the fly…

I have posted links to tutorials in the past on how to achieve the tilt shift lens effect on images, making your photos look like snaps of model villages. Well forget that as tiltshiftmaker.com does it for you.
You just upload your image and use the simple controls to make your own. Very easy. Very effective.
P.s. There is also an iPhone application that you can use which is pretty cool. You can get that here.

iMagePhone – Quickly create wallpaper for your iPhone

iMagePhone is an application available in Lite (Free) or Pro (not Free) versions. Its a very neat and quick way of making and loading wallpapers for your lovely iPhone or iPod Touch.
I, use the lite version because a) its free and b) I dont need the extra features that the pro version gives you such as quartz filters etc as I can do all that shiznit in Pixelmator which is fast becoming one of my favourite applications.

Venue M Have unceremoniously decided to terminate everybodies account with very short notice and citing that they are “concentrating on native apps”….Poor form VenueM, POOR FORM!
I was looking for a way to optimise bigmacblog for iPhone and Android users, hopefully to make it load quicker and give a generally better viewing expeirence.

Color Expert – Colour library in your pocket!

This one is a pretty contentious issue. Can one truly work with colour on an uncalibrated screen.
Well despite my initial misgivings, yes you can and quite succesfully. Its never going to be perfect but if your a designer, work with textiles or simply want to re-decorate your kitchen you cant really go wrong for £5.99. This web app works like a charm and despite being used on a typically saturated screen, the colour matching actually isnt that bad, and goes a long way to helping choose those oh so inmportant hues.
I love that you can email the swatched you create to yourself or others as it generates a lovely image of the colours to include in the mail as well as the colour details.
