Autograph is a neat little application that lets you use your multi touch trackpad to scribble a quick signature, note or image to use in documents etc.
simple and neat.
Pixlr – Eat this Photoshop Express…
Dont get me wrong, Photoshop Express is pretty cool….but, its just not photoshop. Without layers and selection tools it is simply a neat way to mess around with photos. Pixlr, however, goes that one step further and provides layers and most of the tools your used to in photoshop in a neat and uncluttered layout via its website. It is flash based and so its performance will vary from machine to machine but so far for me it has not been anything other than blazingly fast. I think it even beats installed photoshop cs3 on many occasions! The good thing about Photoshop Express, however, is that you can store your images on the Adobe servers (currently up to 2gb) which is pretty natty. For me, I would rather use Pixlr and a memory stick any day!

Colorate – Create colour palettes from images
This one gathers colour information from an image or swatch and generates a pallette using the colours it finds. Neat, does what it says on the tin!
So for all you colour geeks out there ‘av a look!
Rulers – Measure stuff on screen…in a nutshell…
This is just a simple application to give you some natty onscreen rulers to measure different elements etc.
Its very useful if you need to create on screen guides or compare your work to others etc…
Hab.la – Add live chat to your website nice and easy…
This is nice!
Hab.la is a tiny piece of code that you can paste into your iweb website (or others) that will unlock the ability to include a live chat panel (that you can customise) on your page. The best part is that it is multi-protocol which means it works with ichat, googletalk, and loads more…….
So you can be logged in on adium and somebody visiting your website can see your online and send you a message (this is done anonymously so they will not know your chat details and username etc..) and when you respond in your favourite client (adium suggested but supported by ichat also) a live chat session is initiated…..
It sounds a lot trickier than it is but the Hab.la have included a little file to automatically install the account into your adium or ichat client.
I really like this one!
Paparazzi – Capture images of WHOLE websites
Lots of posts coming to you today…. mostly because i’m off work sick, freezing cold and bored to death!
Anyways…
Paparazzi does something that I have been looking for for a long time. It is an application that captures images of an ENTIRE webpage, no matter the size…great for bloggers or for those of you who would like to document and record the evolving states of your website.

Poladroid – Re-create the good ol’ days…
This is a really fun and nostalgic little app.
Poladroid sits on your desktop and whatever you drag onto it will be magically transformed into a wonderful polaroid image. You can also save the images at any stage of development (which you can speed up by giving it a shake!).

Those lovely peeps at Macheist have released the MAC GIVING TREE. Sign up to their mailing list and you get access to two free apps. Come christmas morning there will be a load more free ones (no idea what they are yet!) and if at least two of your friends sign up you get another two.

A few posts back I talked about fontifier, which in itself is very good. Thanks to the wonderful Doreen, it turns out there is a very similar service that is free! yes free!…
As with fontifier you print and fill in the template send it back and shablaaaaam…..your writing in font form….

Great Website Tutorials – Learn HTML and many others…
I never thought I would be saying this, but I actually found myself excited about this website…….its very dour and plain exterior doesn’t reflect its eternal usefullness. Now I dont know much about anything web designery, and that means all of my websites are made in iWeb (which I simply love by the way). Now normally an iWeb website requires no coding knowledge, but to leverage all the funky extras that I have talked about over the past three months, some HTML is very helpful.
This website has tutorials for nearly every web technology. Its arranged in small sections so you can head straight for what floats your boat.
